The process
A short-documentary was produced, inspired by the concept of an urban symphony. In this work, I sought to represent the action of women’s bodies in protests through music and sound, establishing an essential analogy between the city and the female body.
The aim was to shift the listening perspective from external observation to internal engagement, immersing the audience through the tools of the camera and microphone. This approach transformed the observational lens of 1920s urban symphonies into an active, committed, and participatory gaze, merging disparate voices into a unified and organic sound.
The streets, akin to the city’s veins, became conduits for the movement of protests driven by the force of social action. This audiovisual project conceptualized the city and the female body as a singular entity where vitality arises through action and demands for change. This conceptual foundation guided the sound design, bringing the essence of urban protests to life.
